Marketed as the first ever transdermal male enhancement gel, Enlargel is said to employ a “two-fold systematic approach to natural male enhancement.” What makes Enlargel unique, according to the website, is that its active ingredients are absorbed directly into the penile tissue. Whether male enhancement products that are applied directly to the penis are better than those that are taken orally will be the focus of this review. With that said, let’s check out the ingredients of Enlargel, and see if these are able to support the claims laid out in the site.
Ingredients and claims:
Like many male enhancement products in the market today, Enlargel makes use of a lot of key ingredients – perhaps as an homage to the more is more school of thought. Though we highly doubt it, the manufacturer of Enlargel says that “there were literally hundreds of possible extracts from naturally occurring herbs that were considered.” From the hundreds, 11 were chosen and these include: Maca extract, L-arginine, niacin, Damiana, Yohimbe, Muira Puama, epimedium, Ginkgo biloba, saw palmetto, Serenoa, nettle extract, and Tribulus terrestris.
As for the claims, Enlargel is said to work immediately, releasing vasodilators that enlarge the penis, as well as androgen precursors that stimulates the testes to produce testosterone. The manufacturer of Enlargel also claims that it works synergistically with proven penile exercises as it is able to soften the penile tissue and make it more responsive to stimulation.
Positives:
- Though there are few testimonials on the site, we are convinced that these genuinely came from Enlargel users.
- Reasonable return policy
- Discreet packaging for those who are conscious about protecting their privacy
Negatives:
- Does not display physical address on the official website
- Indirectly promotes penile exercises, which are risky and can cause injuries if not done properly
- Claims to work better than male enhancement supplements, taken orally but does not back it with clinical studies
The Bottom Line:
Many will no doubt like this product, thinking that it is a safer alternative to oral formulations. Consumers, however, should take note that there are no studies supporting this claim. As for effectiveness, we would have to say that many men still found male enhancement pills and supplements to be the better option, reporting gains in terms of size/libido/sperm volume improvements. With regards to the active ingredients, we can’t fault the manufacturer for incorporating proven penis-enhancing components, but we would have loved to see these packaged in a different drug delivery system.
